Rules & Regulations

Please follow these guidelines to ensure a productive and respectful environment for all library users.

01
Silence should be maintained throughout the library premises at all times.
02
All users must wear their ID card and maintain proper dress code while in the library.
03
Enter your Roll Number in the Gate Entry System located at the library entrance.

The library will provide three library cards to every eligible student.
05
Misusing library cards is a punishable offense; cards may be seized by the librarian.
06
If a borrowed book is lost, it must be replaced with a new copy of the same title and author.
07
Book lending period is 15 days. One renewal is permitted for another 15 days if renewed within the due date.
08
A fine of ₹1.00 per book per day will be charged for books returned after the due date.
09
Students must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of a book before borrowing it.
10
Books borrowed on a particular day will not be accepted for return on the same day.

Books taken from the stack area must be kept on reading tables — do not re-shelve them yourself.

Valuable goods (money, purse, calculator, gold jewellery) should not be kept in the property shelves.
13
Personal materials (books, notes, stationery) are not permitted inside; keep them in the property shelves at the entrance.
14
Students must not write upon, damage, or mark any book, journal, or material belonging to the library.
15
Any defect or damage to library material must be immediately reported to the library staff.

Identity card is mandatory when borrowing or returning books. No exceptions will be made.
